There are 12 classes at the school divided amongst Moderate GLD; Severe GLD and Autistic Spectrum Disorder. We also have pupils with Physical and Sensory Disabilities.
The school originated on the Turnpike Road in the mid 1960's and moved to the Gort Rd in 1986. The school was extended and refurbished in 2004 with the addition of extra classrooms and therapy rooms.
Therapists, employed by the HSE, provide Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech and Language Therapy and Psychology to our pupils.
The school provides a full Department of Education and Skills approved Curriculum as well as many extra activities including horticulture, cookery, swimming, social outings,bowling and a full range of Special Olympic Sports.
The pupils enjoys extensive play areas and a beautiful sensory garden which is used extensively for relaxation and recreation.
